Some Celtic fans have been mocking Neil Lennon’s comments about incoming January signing Ismaila Soro.
Reports have said that while Soro has completed his Hoops medical and the transfer is close, work permit issues are holding up the potential deal.
Will Soro replace Scott Brown?
He sure can!
No chance at all
Hoops boss Lennon clarified it in a recent press conference and said there has been a ‘hold-up with the paperwork’ and that the midfielder will be at the club by next week.
When the Hoops social media team posted the comments on Twitter, it annoyed the Celtic fans. They are mocking the club for it.
Hold up work permit or the SFA back to their dodgy antics again like in the past?

So far this season, Celtic have been using a 4-2-3-1 shape, with Callum McGregor and Scott Brown playing in the double pivot. McGregor has made 21 Premiership appearances for the club, while Brown has played 21 times in the league too.
As for Soro, he has been a regular for his club Bnei Yehuda while playing 24 games in all competitions for the club. He is yet to score or assist in the whole season, but 17 of those appearances have come in the league.
Soro was a regular for the club last season too, playing 35 games in all competitions for the side. He got two assists for the club too, with both coming in the domestic league.
What do we think?
Work permit hold-ups aren’t Lennon’s or the club’s fault. They aren’t Peter Lawwell’s fault either. It is a normal process through which transfers work and it is normal for some of them to take time. Celtic fans need to be patient.
