Some Celtic fans are fuming at the referee’s decision to hand Partick Thistle a penalty in the recent Scottish Cup tie against the Hoops.
The game saw Celtic run out 2-1 winners, but it didn’t end up being as easy as it seemed. Partick won a penalty in stoppage time – one that Stuart Bannigan scored. Before that, goals from Leigh Griffiths and Callum McGregor had given Celtic a 2-0 lead.
Celtic fans: Do you feel it was a penalty?
It wasn't a pen, horrific decision!
Not sure if it wasn't!
A video of Celtic conceding a penalty went viral on Twitter. A Hoops-related account called ‘Tam sellics Son III’ posted the video and it left many Hoops fans fuming.

This is the time to complain about decisions. No use waiting till we’re beat before acting on it.

Celtic have made it to the next round of the Scottish Cup and the draw for the fifth round that was held yesterday saw them get drawn with Clyde. This is the first time they will play Clyde since they beat them 2-1 in 2006.
McGregor was on the scoresheet against Partick Thistle and he has now made 37 appearances in all competitions for the Hoops. He has picked up a tally of seven goals and four assists, with three goals coming in the Premiership so far.
As for Griffiths, the Scotsman now has a tally of four goals in 19 appearances in all competitions for the Hoops. The start at the weekend was his second since returning from injury and it was his first goal since his return.
What do we think?
It is time for Celtic fans to move on. They’ve made it to the next round and refereeing errors like these are not rare, considering Scotland has no VAR in use. And these errors will continue to happen unless the referees don’t get protected by technology.
