Some Celtic fans have reacted to whether the club can allow Karamoko Dembele to leave the club on loan in the ongoing January transfer window.
Recent reports from the Daily Record have stated that the Hoops have rejected an attempt from Gillingham for their youngster Dembele. The League One side wanted to sign the starlet on a loan deal till the end of the season, but the Hoops have made it clear that they want to keep the player with them instead of sending him out on a loan deal.
Should Celtic loan out Dembele?
Not yet, Lennon will develop him
He needs that loan
Gills boss Steve Evans has worked with Karamoko’s cousin Siriki at Peterborough United and was hoping that this connection could help his side thrash out a late January deal.
A Hoops-related page called CelticBible relayed this news. Many Celtic fans have voiced their opinions about it.
He would get booted all over the place in league 1, so no chance

Good call. We need to keep him at Celtic. Not physically ready for 1st team football yet.
A loan to a janny English side would hinder his development

Dembele is currently only 16 and has risen through the ranks at Parkhead over the last few years.
The youngster made his European debut for the Hoops recently, becoming the youngest player in club history to play in a European competition. His Premiership appearance of the campaign came in Celtic’s game against Ross County. He played only five minutes of that game.
Dembele had made only one appearance last season. It came against Hearts in the Premiership when the winger played 45 minutes of the game towards the end of the campaign.
What do we think?
At the age of 16, staying at Celtic and playing regularly for the Reserves will make sense for Dembele’s development. Playing first-team football elsewhere may destroy the momentum and not help his career too much.
