Supporters of Wolverhampton Wanderers have slammed Nuno Espirito Santo following his post-match comments after the defeat to Manchester United.
Following the game with the Red Devils, the Portuguese gaffer explained that he was “happy with the boys” despite an FA Cup exit (as per Wolves), which had fans disagreeing with the 45-year-old.
"I’m disappointed to go out because it’s frustrating knowing we did well, we performed well, and we don’t go to the next one. I’m happy with the boys, happy with the support."

Was Nuno Espirito Santo wrong to say that Wolves played well against Manchester United?Yes, we were dreadfulNo, we weren't that bad |
A Juan Mata second-half goal was enough to secure the Old Gold’s exit from the competition in the third round, meaning Nuno Santo’s men will miss out on a trip to either Watford or Tranmere Rovers (as per BBC).
Having enjoyed just 43% of the possession and only two shots on target in the tie at Old Trafford (per BBC), many were adamant that the Molineux club had not performed to the best of their abilities.
Was he at the same game? We didn’t perform well

Played well until it came down to the final ball then we were absolutely shocking again … no end product whatsoever

What do we think?
Had the Old Gold not had a goal chalked off for the narrowest of margins due to a handball (per Birmingham Mail), the game could have been an entirely different affair.
However, it was clear that Wolves fell short on the occasion, but, there is not much else that Nuno Santo could say after the tie without slating his players – it is better to just move on.
