Supporters of Wolverhampton Wanderers have aired their concern following quotes relayed from Nuno Espirito Santo by Tim Spiers.
Following the Old Gold’s 1-1 draw with Newcastle United on Saturday, Nuno Santo was quoted by the journalist saying that Wolves: ‘need solutions’, alluding to new signings (per Tim Spiers), which had fans worried.
Nuno: "We need solutions. We need (new) players that can help us in these type of games."

He’s legitimately, and justifiably, getting frustrated at getting no backing. He never talks about transfers like this, and talking about it every interview. Can’t go forever failing to back your manager ????

I’ll be called a pant wetter but we’re desperate. No plan B, lack of creativity and players who are absolutely knackered. One window won’t sort this ‘mess’ out.

Sounds like a massive plea to the board to me. Maybe they aren’t backing him? Hope that’s not the case cause Nuno is god

How many new players do Wolves need to sign this transfer window?
1 or 2
3 or 4
During the summer, the Molineux club plunged £87.3 million into incoming transfers (as per Transfermarkt), however, not a single first-team player has arrived during the winter window so far.
With the Old Gold still torn across three fronts in the Europa League, FA Cup and Premier League, some have argued that Nuno Santo does not have the squad depth at his disposal (per The Guardian), which was a worry for supporters.
They’re too tight, starting to show their true colours. Criminal to leave nuno so short of options, he’s working miracles.

Poor transfer targets in the summer with panic buys, both now gone. Europa two tough legs and lack of creativity could leave us miserable.Fear without a change either nuno working with bigger squad will see impetus lost.

Almost as if they want Nuno to leave at this point. No backing whatsoever to the point he is pretty much pleading to the press. Showing his frustration.

What do we think?
While it may be debatable how well the money was spent in the summer, the Old Gold still has a huge net spend of £81.54 million over the summer (per Transfermarkt).
Yes, over a third of that was to bring in Raul Jimenez permanently, however, it is still a large outlay for a club the size of Wolves.
Having said that, it is clear that there are deficiencies in Nuno Santo’s squad and one way or another, something has to be done about that this transfer window.
