Supporters of Wolverhampton Wanderers have aired that they are gutted that Patrick Cutrone is set to depart Molineux for Fiorentina.

According to the Express and Star, the deal for the Italian 22-year-old’s departure draws ever closer as he is in Florence to complete the move, which had fans devastated.

Should Wolves be keeping hold of Patrick Cutrone and only loaning him out?

According to the report, it seems likely that the Italian will move on an initial loan that will become permanent in the summer (per Express and Star).

During this season, Cutrone has featured in 24 games for the Old Gold, in which he has scored three and assisted four (per Transfermarkt), however, fans were still sad to see him go.

What do we think?

While his record showed that he certainly was not in great form, and his 6.32/10 average rating only makes for worse reading (per WhoScored), it seems fans had a real connection with the youngster.

However, for whatever reason it has not worked out at Molineux, hopefully, a return to his home country will get his development back on track.
