Supporters of Wolverhampton Wanderers have fumed after Tim Spiers poured cold water on the club’s supposed signing of Thomas Lemar.
In response to a question posed over Atletico Madrid’s Frenchman, Spiers responded: ‘told there’s nothing in that one’ (as per Tim Spiers), which had fans fuming.
told there's nothing in that one, sorry!

Do you believe there is anything in the Thomas Lemar to Wolves reports? No, all just paper talkYes, realistic possibility |
Talk of the move had arisen following a report from La Razon, as cited by Sport Witness, which stated that the Spaniards had been in contact with Jorge Mendes to open dialogue with Wolves over a move (via Talking Wolves).
One supporter furthered the fume on an unrelated-to-Spiers note and slammed the club for their apparent lack of activity in the transfer window so far.
Are we actually looking at anyone? We need at least 3 new faces to first team squad surely. We’ve hardly got a team

What do we think?
If Wolves were to wrangle the 24-year-old attacker on a loan deal, that would be a fine piece of business by the Old Gold.
With 26 goals and 45 assists in 226 games across the £27-million rated winger‘s career (as per Transfermarkt), it is clear that he knows where the net is.
However, if Spiers is to be believed, then this one may not be worth Wolves fans getting their hopes up over.
