Supporters of West Ham United have fumed following Grady Diangana’s loan move with West Bromwich Albion being confirmed until the end of the season.
Following the Baggies’ announcement that the winger was set to stay at the Hawthorns until the end of the season (as per West Brom), West Ham fans aired their discontent over the move.
We are crying out for a bit of youth and pace in our team. And we have it in Grady Diangana.
We are deep in a relegation battle, and we decide we can leave him there.
I just don’t get it myself ????? https://t.co/In8M6nXQMB

Honestly feeling like an active effort to get relegated. Think they can pocket £200m in player sales, then build the next Sheffield United with Brady’s hubris, Sullivan’s ego and Gold’s Rolls Royce as our lead scouts.

Because when we get relegated & WBA get promoted we can sell him to them & the board can make a bit more money

Well, it’s not like Moyes would play him, is it.
Young? Yes.
Fast? Yes.
Talented? Yes.
Nah, not his sort of player.— Mustrum Ridcully (@kirok1) January 24, 2020
Should Grady Diangana be getting minutes in West Ham's first team?Yes, he has enough talentNo, loan will do him good |
During this season, the young Englishman has featured in 22 games in all competitions for Slaven Bilic’s side, during which he has scored five goals and assisted six (as per Transfermarkt).
Coupled with a 7.14/10 average rating for the term so far (as per WhoScored), some fans felt strongly that the 21-year-old should be featuring for David Moyes.
Hope I’m wrong but I don’t think we will see Diangana in west ham shirt again?

What do we think?
While some West Ham fans may feel that Diangana could do a job for the first team, he is playing well for West Brom and it will serve his development well getting consistent playing time.
If the 21-year-old can continue in his current vein of form, then he will return to West Ham at the end of the season all the better for it.
