Spurs fans were delighted to hear that Lille are reportedly looking to sell midfielder Boubakary Soumare during the transfer window.
According to Sky Sports (via Daily Hotspur), the 20-year-old midfielder is likely to be sold this month, with Manchester United and Chelsea also interested. Spurs were regularly linked with the Frenchman ahead of the January transfer window and look to have been handed a boost in their reported interest in the Lille man.
Soumare has established himself as a regular in the Lille team so far this season; making 24 appearances in all competitions for Christophe Galtier’s side. The youngster impressed in a defeat by Chelsea in the Champions League last month; earning a 7.65 rating and it seems as if the Ligue 1 side are ready to cash in on the midfielder amidst the significant interest from European sides.

These Spurs fans are clearly hoping that the club make an approach for Soumare during this month’s window and don’t lose out on the midfielder to any Premier League rivals.
What do we think?
Spurs look to be in need of a midfielder following the injury to Moussa Sissoko earlier this month and Soumare could be the ideal replacement; with the 20-year-old already experienced in the Champions League.
The Lille man is currently valued at £19.8 million by transfermarkt, so it will be interesting to see if Spurs make a move for him during January.
