Spurs fans were less than impressed with Jose Mourinho’s comments on Daniel Levy in Friday’s press conference.
The 56-year-old manager discussed the January transfer window and injuries at the club ahead of the game with Liverpool on Saturday. One quote, in particular, caught the attention of fans, with Mourinho seemingly discussing the influence of Levy in this month’s window on the team, saying: “If the boss arrives with a solution to face these difficult months ahead of us then so be it, welcome. If not then we will wait for the summer for the next evolution of the team.” (via Alasdair Gold).
Spurs announced this week that both Moussa Sissoko and Harry Kane will be out until April with respective injuries and it seems as if Mourinho is keen to replace them this month, but a lot of that will seemingly rely on Levy. The North London club currently lie 6th in the Premier League table and will be hoping for a positive result against the league leaders on Saturday to help them realise their top-four aspirations.
Will Spurs sign anyone this month?

These Spurs fans are clearly not happy with Mourinho’s comments, with many feeling that the Portuguese manager is going to be disappointed with Levy.
What do we think?
If Spurs do wait until the summer to re-build the team then they do potentially sacrifice any chance of earning a top-four spot this season but Levy must surely realise that Mourinho is desperate for some new players during this month’s window.
