Spurs fans were delighted to hear that Christian Eriksen has reportedly agreed on a contract with Inter ahead of a move away from North London.
According to The Times (via Hotspur Related), the Danish midfielder has reached an agreement with the Italian club over a four-year contract thought to be worth around £100,000 a week. It looks to nearly be the end of the Eriksen transfer saga, which began at the end of last season when he confirmed he wanted a new challenge but it is still unclear whether he will leave this month, or at the end of the season when his contract expires.
Spurs originally signed Eriksen from Ajax in 2013 and the creative midfielder has gone on to make 302 appearances for the North London club; scoring 69 goals and providing 89 assists. Despite his impressive contributions, Eriksen has taken a lot of criticism from Spurs fans this season, with his disappointing performances quoted as one of the reasons behind the sacking of Mauricio Pochettino.

These Spurs fans are clearly keen to see the back of Eriksen and want him sold in January.
What do we think?
If Spurs do manage to get a transfer fee for Eriksen then it should be good business, as his performances this season have been far from good enough, with the 27-year-old averaging a disappointing 6.68 rating. In time he may well be remembered as a Spurs legend for his performances in his time at the North London club but right now it is unsurprising that Spurs fans want the £81 million rated man gone.
