Spurs fans were delighted to hear that reported transfer target (per AS via Sport Witness) Edinson Cavani will be allowed to leave Paris Saint Germain for just €20 million (£17 million) this month.
According to ESPN (via Talking THFC), the 32-year-old could be allowed to leave for a cut-price this January, after he requested a transfer away from the Ligue 1 club. The Uruguay international has been one of the most prolific strikers in Europe during the last decade but has seen his playing time decrease under Thomas Tuchel this season, perhaps due to the form of Kylian Mbappe and Mauro Icardi.
Cavani has featured just 14 times in all competitions for PSG this season, mainly coming off the bench, with injuries preventing him from maintaining his usual goal-scoring record. Despite his lack of minutes, the experienced striker has still managed to find the net on five occasions this season and could be the man to replace the injured Harry Kane, should Jose Mourinho manage to bring him to North London this month.

If true then that’s a no brainer

These Spurs fans clearly feel that their club should definitely pay Cavani’s reported asking price during this month’s transfer window.
What do we think?
Although he has struggled with injuries this season, Cavani is a seriously experienced goal-scorer and could be a great, relatively cheap, short-term replacement for Kane.
