Spurs fans were devastated to hear that Harry Kane’s injury may yet be longer than anticipated, with a leading surgeon predicting that the England striker could be out for six months.
According to Independent writer Jonathan Veal (via Daily Hotspur), Kane is likely to be out for six months after undergoing surgery on a ruptured tendon in his left hamstring, leading orthopaedic surgeon, Chris Wilson believes.
Kane was taken off injured during Spurs’ New Year’s Day defeat against Southampton before the club revealed earlier this month that he was expected to be out until April.
However, the latest reports suggest that he could be out for an extended period, which could even see him miss England’s Euro 2020 campaign.
The Spurs academy graduate had been in superb form so far this season; hitting 30 goals for club and country in all competitions but both Spurs and England fans may now be waiting a while for his next goal.
Do Spurs need to sign a striker this month?

Know it is a big blow for Euro 2020, but he should absolutely NOT rush himself back like he has with every other injury. Play for next Prem season.

These Spurs fans are clearly devastated with the latest Kane injury update and will be hoping that the England international can make a full recovery.
What do we think?
Spurs desperately need a new striker to replace Kane if he is indeed out for six months. The 26-year-old has participated in 36% of Spurs’ goals so far this season and if they don’t replace him then their chances of reaching the top-four look to be extremely slim.
