Christian Eriksen’s transfer to Inter looks to edging closer and closer and it seems as if Spurs’ fixture against Daniel Farke’s Norwich side on Wednesday could well be his last for the club.

According to FC Inter News (via Sport Witness), the “countdown has started” on Eriksen’s move to Antonio Conte’s side and a transfer should be concluded this week. Despite his ongoing transfer situation, the 27-year-old has been used regularly by Jose Mourinho in recent weeks and may well play a part against Norwich City on Wednesday evening.

Indeed, it’s stated that today’s clash could be Eriksen’s final game for the north London club. After that, he could land in Milan to undergo a medical and sign a contract with Inter.

The Danish international has struggled to find form so far this season, with the midfielder seemingly no longer interested in playing for the North London club, having established his desire to leave during the summer of last year. Spurs originally signed the creative midfielder from Ajax in 2012 and he has since gone on to make 304 appearances for the North London club; contributing 69 goals and 89 assists.

TIF Tactics:

It will be interesting to see whether Mourinho does opt to use Eriksen against the side currently bottom of the Premier League on Wednesday night and the response he will get from fans if he does feature. The 27-year-old has not acted in the most professional manner during the last few months, with his performances clearly dropping from a usual high standard; with the midfielder having averaged a disappointing 6.68 rating so far this season.

If the game against Norwich does prove to be his last for the club, then you hope that he puts in a strong performance that will perhaps allow Spurs fans to remember him more fondly.
