Tottenham have been handed a huge boost with the news Tanguy Ndombele has returned to training with the first-team squad.
The update came from the club’s official Twitter account on Tuesday afternoon and was met with a mixture of joy and caution from the fans.
Jose Mourinho famously said “he is always injured” during a press conference earlier on in the month and it appears the player’s fitness has become a real concern for some of the supporters after the club spent £54m in the summer to bring him to North London.
Can Ndombele put his fitness troubles behind him and be a regular in the Spurs midfield?

Whilst some were thrilled to hear of his return to the first-team picture, others were hopeful but advised caution regarding the way the player should be utilised.

What do we think?
Ndombele, who is valued at £58.5 million (as per Transfermarkt), arrived from French Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyonnais in the summer but has only been in their Premier League starting eleven 43% of the time. He’s made 20 appearances in all competitions, scored two goals and provided 3 assists.
Whilst injuries have, perhaps, prevented the player finding his rhythm so far, his talent is clear for all to see and if he can put the fitness troubles behind him, Jose Mourinho will have a fantastic player at his disposal.
