Spurs are still on the hunt for a striker during this month’s transfer window and they now look set to make a second bid for Fenerbache striker Vedat Muriqi.

According to Turkish newspaper Aksam (via Sport Witness), the North London club are looking to test Fenerbache’s resolve by making a second bid for the Kosovan striker.

The report suggests that Jose Mourinho’s side are willing to offer more than £20 million for the 25-year-old, as they look to sign a replacement for Harry Kane; who has been ruled out until April with a hamstring injury.

The report also suggests that Spurs bid for the striker earlier in the transfer window but the Turkish club stated that he wasn’t for sale, however an improved bid may yet see them change their stance.

Ersun Yanal’s side currently sit fourth in the Super Lig table, so may well be unwilling to sell one of their key players, with Muriqi having already hit 12 goals in all competitions so far this season.

TiF Tactics:

Spurs are in need of a striker and Muriqi could well prove to be the solution, having performed excellently for both Fenerbache and Kosovo so far this season; averaging an impressive 7.49 rating.

Fenerbache have had recent money troubles, so an improved offer from Spurs could well see them cash in on the 26-year-old striker.

Mourinho is perhaps looking to add a striker with some height to his team, with Lucas Moura having filled in upfront in recent games and Muriqi could certainly provide that; with the Kosovan standing at 194cm.

It will be interesting to see if the Turkish side accept Spurs’ improved bid.
