Spurs fans were less than happy to hear the rumours emerging from the Tottenham camp this week.
According to The Sun (via Talking THFC), some of the senior players are quickly losing faith in the Portuguese manager and believe that the team has regressed under his management.
The report suggests that some senior players believe that the club is now heading backwards from where they were under the innovative and ‘popular’ Mauricio Pochettino.
Mourinho took charge of Spurs in November of last year with the North London club languishing in 14th place and quickly pushed them back into top-four contention, but a dreadful start to 2020 has left his side currently occupying eighth position in the Premier League.
The former Manchester United and Chelsea man is struggling to implement his tactics and is perhaps missing some key players, but it seems as if some of the senior players at the club are already feeling that his appointment was a mistake.
Who would you rather have in charge of Spurs right now?
Jose Mourinho
Mauricio Pochettino

After first game of him in charge they’ve been a boring mid table side sadly to say

In other words they don’t like being told what to do

Half the senior players haven’t been fit enough to take part in any training sessions yet!! ?

The sun makes me not believe this. But the fact that mourinho is mourinho makes me believe it. He is finished in top level football and not the answer to our problems

Same players that got Poch sacked and said he had no plan B.

These Spurs fans are clearly split by the reported news on Mourinho, with some drawing similarities to what was said about Pochettino before his sacking in November, whilst others still clearly feel that it is early in the Mourinho regime.
What do we think?
Mourinho has only been in charge for around three months but he has certainly had a mixed start as manager. There is still a lot of issues to be fixed at Spurs, the most pressing of which is probably the lack of a striker after Harry Kane’s injury and the Portuguese manager should be given more time to try and solves those issues.
