Spurs fans were shocked to hear Toby Alderweireld’s thoughts on the potential unrest at the North London club.
In a post-match interview following the 2-1 win over Norwich City on Wednesday night, the Belgian defender was questioned about the reports of unrest in the Tottenham camp. He dismissed any suggestion of problems at the North London club, saying: “Maybe there’s a player that’s not happy and maybe he wants to say something it’s all possible but from 99% I’m telling you we’re happy with the group.” per Football.London (via Ricky Sacks).
The original report from the Sun suggested that there was a bust-up between Danny Rose and Jose Mourinho, with many Spurs fans believing that the 29-year-old defender may have been the source of the ‘news’ of unrest at the club.
Do you think Alderweireld was suggesting Rose is the problem?
Yes
No
Reaction from Spurs fans to Alderweireld’s quotes can be seen in the tweets below.
Toby selling out rose publicly shows how the team is fed up of rose antics and he needs to be sold ASAP. Cannot afford to have players disrupting the dressing room in this day and age.

Danny rose up to his usual antics. Get him gone, great servant but now he’s just bitter.

These Spurs fans clearly suspect Rose and will be hoping that the England international is sold to ensure that he can stop causing problems in the dressing room at Spurs.
What do we think?
If Alderweireld was indeed implying that Rose was the cause of the reports then it seems as if the players have had enough of his antics and Spurs should do their best to sell the left-back this month, especially with the reported interest from Bournemouth, Newcastle and Watford.
