Supporters of Tottenham Hotspur have reacted to news that the club’s latest bid for Kryzstof Piatek has been rejected by AC Milan.
According to the Athletic, the North London club have seen a swap deal including Juan Foyth and Victor Wanyama for the Polish striker rejected due to wanting to recoup the €34 million (£28.9m) they paid for him (via Hotspur Lane), which had some fans furious with the offer itself.

Only Spurs would offer a crock and someone who looks lost on the pitch, for a genuine player.

Should Spurs just stump up the €34-million (£28.9m) asking price for Krzysztof Piatek?Yes, just get him inNo, it's too much |
During this season, the 24-year-old striker has featured in 19 games for his Serie A club so far this term, in which he has scored five goals and assisted one (as per Transfermarkt).
Despite most supporters being frustrated over the audacity of the deal for the Polish international, one fan was much more positive on the reported move.
That would have been a great deal imo

However, with Piatek on just a 6.54/10 average rating for the season so far (as per WhoScored), another supporter felt that the striker was perhaps not good enough for Jose Mourinho’s side.
Cant be much cop if they want to sell him after 6 months

What do we think?
The supposed swap deal for the man valued at £28.8 million does seem a little bit of a stretch to imagine AC Milan accepting it.
However, it also seems a little far fetched for the Serie A club to expect to recoup what they paid for him after the striker has had a weak season judging from his goals return and average rating.
