A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans are fuming at a story in The Independent that claims Spurs offered Aston Villa £3m + Joshua Onomah for Jack Grealish.
Since then, the 24-year-old has established himself in the Premier League and could be worth whatever Villa ask for him.
Would Grealish make an impact for Spurs?
Yes, perfect replacement for Eriksen
No, he still isn't good enough
If this story is true, it has annoyed these Spurs fans who cannot believe that Levy thought that was a serious offer.
It’s clear the transfer market had passed Levy by. Unfortunately, he is a bit of a joke now where negotiating with clubs on transfers is concerned and doing more damage than good to on-field progress. Look at this month. Clear we need more than one player.

Levy don’t seem to understand how the transfer market works.
HE holds Clubs to ransom when selling, also wants well over the true valuation and somehow GETS it
YET
Oddly when it comes to signing players he goes in so low it a actually laughable.. #JOKE— Gav (@TheMighty_Spurs) January 20, 2020
Thought about it some weeks back! Very interesting you raise this @RickSpur … The long and short of it is WE CANT AFFORD HIM now unless we break the bank! @SpursOfficial

What a disgrace! He does a lot of great things for our club, but the way he approaches the transfer market is downright embarrassing and detrimental to the product on the field. His approach is the very definition of penny wise and pound foolish. COYS!

If true that is actually embarrassing. I’m all for a prudent and sensible approach to running the club but that is derisory.

If this is true this is unacceptable and shows we have serious problems going forward with them at the helm

If you had to sum up levy, it would be this

What do we think?
Grealish has scored seven goals and provided five assists this season, but in the summer of 2018, Tottenham would not match Villa’s price tag, and Grealish stayed at Villa Park.
He developed into a class player in the Championship, and has taken that form into the top-flight.
If this bid is true, then it is embarrassing that Tottenham thought that it would be an acceptable deal.
If they had offered the £25m that Villa wanted, then Spurs could have signed one of England’s most talented midfield players.
Instead, they made a ridiculous offer and have had to watch Grealish grow as a footballer.
