Some Southampton fans have been left fuming by the latest comments of club manager Ralph Hasenhuttl about the potential incomings at St. Mary’s this month.

Saints boss Hasenhuttl was recently talking about how he is happy with the club’s current first-team and he also revealed that the current team ‘deserve the credit’ for turning things around this season. Hasenhuttl also revealed that he isn’t ‘scared’ of going with the same team for the rest of the season.

Southampton fans: Does the club have money for January transfers?

No chance we have money

No chance we have money

We do, Ralph's lying

We do, Ralph's lying

The Daily Echo Twitter handle tweeted this post and many Saints fans were not happy with Hasenhuttl’s comments about the same. They made it clear.

Southampton had hired Hasenhuttl after the sacking of Mark Hughes towards the end of 2018. It has been over a year since he came to the club, helping them to survival last season and is already doing quite the same this season.

The club’s recent loss to Wolves was their first in as many as six Premier League games. Before that, they were unbeaten in five games, beating all three of Chelsea, Tottenham and Leicester City. Following their 9-0 loss to Leicester at home two months ago, the Saints have lost only five Premier League games and have won six of them.

What do we think?

Hasenhuttl’s comments could easily be a smokescreen while the club is doing its work in the market. Or they could be the truth, considering how confident he sounds in the team that he already has. And it is tough to point out as to what he actually means. For Saints fans, it is a waiting game.
