Some Southampton fans have been raving about Ralph Hasenhuttl’s comments about how he turned things around at the club in recent weeks.
The Saints boss was talking to the press recently about how he has managed to turn around the club’s fortunes in the Premier League. He admitted to having made ‘mistakes earlier in the season’. He also emphasised on going ‘back to basics’ and that has played a role in them winning games again.
Is Hasenhuttl a top five Premier League manager?
No question about it!
Not yet, needs to do more
A Southampton-related page called SaintsNews&Views relayed these comments and it got many Southampton fans talking. They are lauding the Austrian about his comments.
Can’t get more honest than that!!

V.Refrshing in a day where we as fans are treated to sound bites and excuses. I love his honesty and shows that he is absolutely comfortable in his own skin. Gaffa

This is modern leadership. Showing vulnerability inspires teams to follow. Someone should write a book on his leadership style

Southampton got back to winning ways in the Premier League recently, thanks to a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace. Stuart Armstrong and Nathan Redmond scored a goal each to take the club to ninth in the Premier League.
The club has now lost just a single game out of their last seven games. This run has seen them beat Chelsea, Tottenham and even Leicester City. Their only loss in this run came against Wolves, who came back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 on the day.
The Saints have scored 31 goals in the Premier League this season – the ninth-best record in the division. They have let in 41 goals so far – the third-worst record in the division.
What do we think?
Hasenhuttl really has turned it around at St. Mary’s. The recent run of results show that. And Southampton fans are right to hail the Austrian for it and things are certainly looking on the up for the club.
