Sheffield United celebrated their win against AFC Fylde this week. The 2-1 victory sees the Blades progress to the next round of the competition. But the victory came with a taste of bitterness. In the 40th minute, goalkeeper Michael Verrips was substituted after clashing with his own player, Kean Bryan. The injury will come as a big blow to the player who was making his professional debut for Chris Wilder’s side.
Supporters were gutted for the goalkeeper. They were really rooting for him to succeed in this match. One fan admitted that he had been excited to see the player start the match and was eager to see how well he did. Another fan was impressed with what he saw in the first half from Verrips, though.
proper looking forward to seeing him play aswell

Who do you think should start next season if Henderson returns to Manchester United?
Michael Verrips
Simon Moore
Others suggested that Bryan was clumsy and is a danger to himself and others on the field.

What do we think?
While Dean Henderson is Wilder’s go-to starter in the Premier League, Verrips’ injury doesn’t go without consequence for the Blades. Sheffield United’s second choice keeper, Simon Moore, is also out with an injury (The Star). It is unclear who will dress on the bench as Henderson’s backup as the season draws on.
