Sheffield United was on the winning side of the scoresheet against West Ham on the weekend. Oli McBurnie scored the game’s only goal to see the Blades march back into sixth place. The goal was assisted by John Fleck, who also had a great game.
After the match, Sheffield United’s Twitter account tweeted out to hype up Fleck’s performance. They think he has had a brilliant start to life in the Premier League. Fans appear to agree, suggesting that he is, without a doubt, one of the most consistent players in the league. Some even claim he is the best in the league.
Hes been unreal. Enda nearly caught him last year and Billy is a legend but Fleck my favourite Sheffield United player under Wilder and maybe ever.

Fleckenbauer.
Proof that hard work and honesty can thrive in The EPL. Other than Liverpool away I’m yet to see him have a poor game this season.— Andy Butler (@ButlerAndy) January 12, 2020
If he’d have played in the first half we’d have won comfortablyon Friday. He doesn’t know how good he is. Need to drill that into him. He’s unplayable at times. Our DeByuyne

Has John Fleck been your Player of the Season so far?
Yes
No
One fan thinks he has only continued to get better, proving himself in each league he plays in. He hasn’t been phased by promotions.
What a player, made the step up with every promotion and somehow managed to look better in the Premier League than he did in League 1

What do we think?
Fleck, who is valued at £5.4 million (as per Transfermarkt), is clearly adored by Sheffield United fans. His performances have to be considered a large part as to why Chris Wilder’s team have continued to surpass their preseason expectations as the Scotland international has managed to achieve an average of 6.95 in his 19 Premier League appearances to date, as per WhoScored.com.
