A lot of Newcastle United fans have responded to Keith Downie’s tweet about Ki Sung-yeung, who looks set to leave Tyneside before the end of the day.
The Sky Sports reporter believes that there is interest in Ki but that if he does not leave, he will not be included in the Premier League squad to make room for Danny Rose.
Will Newcastle miss Ki?
Yes, decent squad player
No, barely featured this season
This news has gone down well with these Toon fans who are happy to see the back of the former Sunderland midfielder.
Ki Sung-Yeung likely to leave Newcastle today. Interest in the player. He’s likely to be removed from the 25-man PL squad if he doesn’t find a new club anyway #DeadlineDay #NUFC

I’d pick Atsu over him. He is such a useless player

Such a shame

Good, pointless player

I think he slows the game down to much at times but while he’s nice and calm I think he’s probably struggled because we dont have the team to suit him and his keep possession style of play

Not had a chance really

What do we think?
The South Korean international, who is valued at £4.05m by Transfermarkt, joined Newcastle in 2018 and has made 23 appearances for the club but has only featured in four matches this season, and Steve Bruce has repeatedly said that Ki can leave the club.
So far, no one has stepped forward to take the 31-year-old, but there is still plenty of time left in the day for that to change.
