A lot of Newcastle United fans have responded to the news that Nikola Kalinic has rejected a move to St James’ Park.
The Toon were linked with the Croatian over the weekend, but the 32-year-old was said to be not keen on the move, and according to reports in Italy, he has turned down Newcastle’s approach to take him on loan.
Are you disappointed Kalinic rejected Newcastle?
Yes, he could have made a real difference
No, he has struggled this season
Steve Bruce confirmed after his team’s 1-1 draw with Rochdale that he had seen some approaches knocked back, and this deal for Kalinic was probably one of the players he was talking about.
The news of Kalinic rejecting Newcastle has received a mixed reaction from many Toon fans – with some pleased that the 32-year-old will not be joining.

Absolutely gutted. Don’t know how I’m going to sleep at night. Ive wanted him on loan ever since he tore up the PL with Blackburn. He could have joined the greats like Doumbia and Luuk de Jong.

Thank god for that he’s garbage

He’s poor anyways. We want players that want to play for the club

Other Newcastle supporters, though, are disappointed but don’t blame Kalinic for rejecting them.
Can’t blame him.

Tbf can’t see many strikers wanting to come here shoved up top all alone and get starved of service

What do we think?
Newcastle are desperate for a striker as after this Kalinic knock back, they have also made offers for Olivier Giroud, Michy Batshuayi, and Krzystzof Piatek.
Kalinic, who is valued at £7.65m by Transfermarkt, seems like he was just one of several targets.
Newcastle will probably move on quickly from this setback and look to bring in a striker who can score the goals they need to stay in the Premier League.
