A lot of Newcastle United fans cannot believe that they have been linked with a move for Moussa Dembele.
Lyon, however, do not intend to sell the 23-year-old, and a report in the Daily Mail claims the Toon had scouts present at Lyon’s last match to watch the former Celtic man who scored his 13th goal of the season.
Do Newcastle have a chance of signing Dembele?
Yes
No
However, many Toon fans believe that their club have no chance of signing the 23-year-old.

Steve can “mention” Messi and Mbappe whilst he is at it…? ridiculous to think we could sign him or he would want to join us.

What do we think?
Newcastle want a striker in this window, and Steve Bruce is meeting Mike Ashley to ask for one big-money transfer to ensure that the Magpies remain in the Premier League.
Dembele has only played twice in the top-flight, but he scored 19 goals for Fulham, 51 goals for Celtic and now has 33 goals for Lyon.
The Frenchman clearly knows where the net is and could be worth signing for a team that have only scored 21 Premier League goals.
However, any deal for Dembele would likely mean the Toon could have to break their transfer record again.
So, can Bruce convince Ashley to part with over £40m to get the former Fulham man in?
