A lot of Newcastle United fans have responded to Joelinton finally breaking his goal drought during the Toon’s 4-1 win over Rochdale in the FA Cup.

Joelinton, who cost Newcastle £40m has struggled in front of goal all season; however, in his 24th appearance for the club, he slotted home his second goal.

Are you happy for Joelinton?

Yes, this could be the turning point

No, he needs to score in the Premier League now

This has delighted some Toon fans.

Other Newcastle supporters, though, are not happy that it has taken him this long to score.

What do we think?

Joelinton, who is valued at £27m by Transfermarkt, finished off a good team move from the Magpies – as Andy Carroll played the ball out to Tom Allan, who whipped in a delightful low cross, and there was Joelinton to finish it off.

St James’ Park erupted with relief as much as joy as the 23-year-old charged over to hug Steve Bruce.

Bruce has stuck by Joelinton, and the Brazilian was clearly grateful for his manager’s support.

Yes, it was a goal against Rochdale, but this should do wonders for Joelinton’s confidence. Look what has happened to Almiron?

He has scored four goals in seven games after going 26 matches without one. This could be the kickstart that Joelinton needed.
