A lot of Newcastle United fans are unhappy with Lee Ryder’s tweet that has confirmed Newcastle have not made a bid for Club Brugge striker Emmanuel Dennis.
Newcastle have apparently bid for the attacker but that has been dismissed by Ryder, who says that the club have not yet made a bid.
Would Dennis be a good signing for Newcastle?
Yes
No
This has irritated many Toon fans who are sick of their club, not signing anyone.
Word up here is that Newcastle have not – at this stage – made a £25million offer for Emmanuel Dennis of Club Brugge. #nufc

OMG stop it. Why even comment on potential signings when 99 %don’t go through. Absolute waste of time.
— Neil Davison (@davwheeler) January 9, 2020
As is always the case lots of names linked but no actual movement.

Why not spend 25 million on a striker which we are crying out for so frustrating

So no news then. Guising as insight.

What do we think?
It is clear that Newcastle need a striker, and over the past week, they have been linked with moves for Olivier Giroud, Glenn Murray, and others.
Dennis is the latest name though this time the Toon have supposedly bid (Via the Evening Chronicle 9th January 2020, 10:58) – this is according to French journalist Manu Lonjon.
Dennis has scored eight goals this season and can operate as a centre-forward or on the left; he is also a Nigerian international.
It remains to be seen if Newcastle do sign Dennis, but for now, it appears as if the club has dismissed any suggestion that they have bid for the 22-year-old.
