Barcelona star Lionel Messi wants to see Manchester City star Sergio Aguero join him at the Camp Nou next season, that’s according to Diario Gol. The pair share an extremely close relationship off-the-field and have played together on countless occasions with the Argentinian national team.
How have the Manchester City supporters reacted to the reports that one of the games all-time greats is pushing Barcelona to try and capture their club’s star striker?
Well, it appears many of them have told Messi that he will need to join their Argentinian star at the Etihad, rather than let him depart for the Camp Nou instead.

Sergio Aguero recently overtook Thierry Henry to become the Premier League’s record overseas goalscorer. He could, potentially, be regarded by many as the club’s greatest ever player and it is believed he holds all the cards in regards to his Manchester City future and when the right time is for him to move on (Daily Mail).
The chance to play at the Camp Nou alongside Messi before he eventually retires may appeal to Aguero but the fans would love to see the 31-year-old play out the rest of his days at the Etihad. The former Atletico Madrid striker has scored an incredible 249 goals for the club in just 359 appearances in Manchester City colours.
It’s just paper-talk for the time being and so there’s no immediate concern for the City faithful, plus rumours linking Aguero with a return to Spain have been a regular occurrence for as long as we can remember with nothing coming to fruition as of yet.
