Manchester City winger Leroy Sane took to social media to congratulate his team-mate Sergio Aguero who overtook Thierry Henry to become the Premier League’s highest overseas goalscorer of all time.
Pep Guardiola’s side thrashed a sorry Aston Villa at Villa Park and leapfrogged Leicester City into second place as a result.
Although Sane’s tweet was intended to heap further praise on his record-breaking colleague, the reply section was dominated by City fans begging the German to stay in light of the reports linking him with a move to Bayern Munich.

What do we think?
The rumours linking the 24-year-old with a move back to his native Germany show no signs of easing up. The former Schalke attacker is yet to return to action since suffering a knee injury during the Community Shield final versus Liverpool back in August.
In Sane, Pep Guardiola has an extremely talented individual on his hands. In 134 appearances for the club, he’s scored 39 goals and provided 45 assists – a remarkable return. Amongst the supporters, there is a strong desire to see the player remain in Manchester and although a return to action is not too far away, given the nature of Sane’s injury, it’s likely to be a while before we see him back at his absolute best regardless of which colour shirt he’s wearing.
