These Liverpool fans discuss Steve McManaman’s latest comments regarding RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner.
According to Horseracing.net (via Metro), Steve McManaman stated this when speaking about Timo Werner potentially joining Liverpool: “Whether he’s the player that the other three at Liverpool are, with a footballing brain, then I don’t necessarily think he is.”
Interestingly, his ‘preferred goal’ is reportedly Liverpool, according to Julien Laurens.
Werner, who is valued at £67.5 million (as per Transfermarkt), has scored a whopping 20 goals in the Bundesliga this season, which is more than the 18 games he’s played in the league (Transfermarkt). So there is no doubt that the 23-year-old can score goals.

One fan even stated that he fits the transfer model, which is correct as the Reds are known to want younger players who still have room to develop, and Werner certainly provides that development element at the age of 23.
He’s exactly the type of player we’d go after. Young at the beginning of his peak. That’s the transfer model.

I hate when people think our team is so perfect that it can’t be improved… Timo will add additional fire power, option and another dynamic to the team!

These fans are rather clear on their view of Timo Werner potentially joining Liverpool.
Crazy talk. He would be a monster signing.

He’s a no 9 who can play on the left wing too. Klopp likes such versatile players. We should go for him only if we let Origi go.

Sign him up. Don’t listen to bosman

Would make a great addition to our squad, forcing competition for places but especially for cover when Mo and Sadie go off to the Africa Cup of Nations.

Is Timo Werner the last piece of the Klopp puzzle?
Yes
No
What Do We Think?
If Timo Werner’s Bundesliga form carried over to Liverpool, the 23-year-old would inevitably add some goals to the team. Although, the likes of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino could halt his progress if regular minutes aren’t gifted to the German, should he sign.
