These Liverpool fans felt grateful for their current players after James Pearce reminded them of Mario Balotelli and nearly signing Wilfried Bony.
James Pearce tweeted out saying: “Rodgers wanted to sign Bony during that mad summer of 2014 when Suarez left and #LFC ended up with Balotelli”.
The Liverpool fans probably have good reason to be relieved, with Wilfried Bony currently without a club and Mario Balotelli currently playing for Brescia. Although, the Italian has scored five goals in 13 Serie A matches this season.
Here is what the Liverpool fans had to say about James Pearce’s tweet:

We don’t talk about that summer, James.

Those dark days..

Mario Balotelli played 28 matches for Liverpool, but could only manage to score four goals during his time at Anfield. Wilfried Bony scored 36 goals in 115 Premier League appearances, that is not a terrible return to be fair to the Ivory Coast international
Nevertheless, these fans are clearly relieved to have players such as Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane at the club these days.
Amazing times for the club

Would you have signed Balotelli or Bony?
Mario Balotelli
Wilfried Bony
What Do We Think?
You do not need us to tell you that Sadio Mane, who has already scored 11 goals this season, is better than anything both Mario Balotelli and Wilfred Bony could do right now combined.
Liverpool fans will be hoping that they never have to watch that type of Liverpool again and with Jurgen Klopp getting them to the top of the Premier League table, it is safe to say that looks very unlikely.
