Liverpool fans on Twitter have been slamming Adam Lallana his performance against Manchester United at the weekend.
This comes after the display shown by the midfielder when he came on as a substitute in the second half of the 2-0 victory at Anfield.
Is Adam Lallana Liverpool's worst player?
Yes
No
Lallana’s brief performance in the match certainly caught the attention of some Liverpool fans, but for all the wrong reasons.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans slating Lallana for his performance on Sunday:
Good choice? Lallana was awful coming on and too slow around the pitch. Nearly cost us the game a few times.

Ox was really really good today. His replacement Lallana on the other hand was awful. He Caused fouls and couldn’t stay on his feet.

We’ve won now so it don’t matter, but that sub from Klopp, Ox for Lallana was awful and Lallana played as bad as I’ve seen.

The Englishman, who is valued at £10.8 million (Transfermarkt), was called into action in the 66th minute to replace fellow English midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and went on to receive a rating of 6.36 (as per WhoScored). After the match ended, Liverpool fans were quick to share their negative thoughts on Lallana’s contribution to the match.
Lallana is such a awful player ??

Lallana has been awful since coming on, would much rather still have Oxlade-Chamberlain playing.

What do we think?
It’s a surprise that after having beaten United to go 16 points clear at the top of the Premier League table, why then the Liverpool fans would take the time to criticise a player who didn’t even play the whole match instead of just enjoying the win. But that is how high the standards of quality are at Liverpool at the moment.
