Liverpool fans have been drooling on Twitter over the idea of Houssem Aouar signing for the Merseyside club.
This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @TheKopHQ shared a post on their page claiming that Aouar would be a “beautiful signing” and that the club should “make it happen.”
Interestingly, Liverpool were linked with the midfielder last year, but nothing has come of it since.
Do Liverpool need Houssem Aouar right now?
Yes
No
This post then led to several Liverpool fans replying with their thoughts on a potential move for the midfielder.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans discussing the possibility of Aouar becoming a Liverpool player:

See Aouar name mentioned to me as a Summer target for Liverpool, he’d solve the creativity issue in midfield

The 21-year-old central-midfielder, who is valued at £45 million according to TransferMarkt, currently plays for Olympique Lyon in the French league. The Frenchman has made 23 appearances for Lyon so far this season, scoring five goals and picking up five assists along the way (per TransferMarkt). This latest post mentioning Aouar with a move to Liverpool caused a number of fans to reply with their hopes of the transfer.
Think we will be in for him mate. Quality young player. How many do you think we will need if Shaq, Lallana and Lovren leave? Think Minamino is one signing we may make 3/4 more in the summer. A wide forward, defender, another midfielder and maybe a young left back.

Don’t tease me mate ?

What do we think?
Liverpool are pretty full up on central-midfielder’s right now with the likes of Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, Georginio Wijnaldum, Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, James Milner and Adam Lallana, so a January move for Aouar seems unlikely. However, should any of the aforementioned players depart from Anfield in the summer, Aouar could be a strong contender to replace one of them. The fans would certainly approve of his arrival as well.
