Liverpool fans have been drooling on Twitter over recent footage of Houssem Aouar.
This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @Liddellpool shared a post on their page, originally tweeted by @BN67805065, of a video clip of Aouar scoring for Olympique Lyon in their 2-2 draw with Lille on Tuesday.
Should Liverpool sign Houssem Aouar in the summer?
Yes
No
This post then gathered a number of replies from Liverpool fans who were eager to share their thoughts on Aouar and his goal.
Interestingly, Liverpool have been linked with a move for the midfielder in the past, but nothing has come of it.
Here is a sample of Liverpool fans reacting to the footage of Aouar:

One fan even suggested that they’d like to see Timo Werner and Aouar at Anfield. The German’s preferred goal is reportedly Anfield, so perhaps at least one of those potential moves will come true.

The 21-year-old midfielder is currently valued at £45 million according to Transfermarkt. The Frenchman has made 24 appearances for Lyon in all competitions so far this season.
In those appearances, Aouar has scored five goals and picked up five assists too (per Transfermarkt). Now that footage has emerged on Twitter of Aouar latest goal this season, some Liverpool fans have been discussing a potential move for the player in the future.
If we want it, we will have to sell Shaq and another midfield.

What do we think?
The footage of Aouar’s recent goal shows that he is a talented player. If the Merseyside club wants to take a chance on Aouar, his young age suggests he could be one for the future. Whether his future will lie elsewhere or remain in France is yet to be seen.
