These Liverpool fans have been discussing Jurgen Klopp’s latest plans for training during the winter break.

According to a report by the Evening Standard, Klopp opted for an alternative approach and is planning on giving the Liverpool players a week-long rest during the new mid-season break. However, this is said to stand only if the Reds can get past Shrewsbury in the FA Cup without needing a replay.

The news was later relayed to these Liverpool fans via David Lynch on Twitter. The majority of the Reds supporters seemed happy with the news, with one fan calling the old training schedule cursed.

Here are some of the comments from the Liverpool fans on Twitter:

Will this break cause Liverpool to slip up?

Yes

Yes

No

No

The majority of these Liverpool fans aren’t concerned that a break could disrupt the season, which seems unlikely anyway given they have only dropped two points all season, but Klopp will still have to monitor his group to make sure that no laziness sets in on the pitch.

What Do We Think?

We don’t believe this will have any effect on Liverpool’s form and, if anything, the players deserve a decent break after the hard work they’ve been putting in this season. Klopp is a very smart manager and has admitted his players were smart as well (Reuters via EuroNews), so if there was any chance of this slapping the Reds’ title hopes in the face, we feel the German manager wouldn’t take the risk.
