Liverpool fans have been responding on Twitter to the latest transfer rumour regarding former Red Emre Can, with the German linked with Merseyside rivals Everton.
This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @empireofthekop shared a post from their website relaying information from a report in Gazzetta dello Sport that Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti is interested in Can.
The Liverpool fan website then asked their followers what they would think if Can made a move back to England but with Merseyside rivals Everton.
However, Ancelotti has since dismissed the rumours.
Would you be bothered if Can goes to Everton?
Yes
No
This post then gathered a number of replies from Liverpool fans who were quick to share their thoughts on the potential move for Can.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans discussing Can’s potential transfer to Everton:
If he’s turned down United there’s no way he’d go there

The German totalled 167 appearances for the Reds before making the move to current club Juventus in 2018 on a free transfer (per Transfermarkt). Now that the possibility of a move from Italy to Everton has been suggested, a lot of Liverpool fans have been sharing their thoughts on the reported move.
I couldn’t care if he went there. He’s a bang average footballer so will fit in well

Who cares that’s his level anyway

Why would you care . He was dreadful for us . Most overrated player I’ve seen last 10 years at our place . Was amazed Juve bought him.

What do we think?
Can recently claimed that he would never play for Manchester United out of respect for Liverpool. But would he still feel the same way for a potential link-up with Carlo Ancelotti at Everton? From what these Liverpool fans have been saying on Twitter, it seems not many would blink an eye at the move should it happen.
