Liverpool fans have been reacting on Twitter to Jason McAteer’s comments claiming Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane could leave the club.
This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @AnfieldWatch shared a post that included an article from Goal relaying quotes made by McAteer from the Racing Post on a possible Merseyside exit for the star duo.
Interestingly, McAteer featured 139 times for the Reds, producing six goals and 12 assists.

McAteer claimed that Salah could be “itching to change things up” in regards to a move away from the club. Additionally, McAteer said he “could understand if Mane would be tempted” by a move to Real Madrid.

The pair of wingers are currently Liverpool’s two top scorers so far this season, with Mane in front on 11 goals with Salah just behind with 10 (per Premier League).
What do we think?
There’s no doubt given their goal tally’s this season that Mane and Salah are two of Liverpool’s most important players. With Liverpool current holders of the Champions League, and currently being way out in front at the top of the Premier League table, would a move anywhere away from Liverpool be a step-up for the players?
