Leicester City defender Ben Chilwell returned to the team as the Foxes emphatically beat West Ham United at the King Power Stadium. The England international was left out of the squad for the weekend’s defeat at Burnley after missing training along with Hamza Choudhury.
Brendan Rodgers said the pair had “learned their lesson” and that the matter had been dealt with (as per BBC Sport). The 46-year-old described the incident as a “misdemeanour” and confirmed that the situation had been dealt internally.
Does Ben Chilwell have a future at Leicester beyond this summer?
Yes
No
Chilwell has repeatedly been linked with a move to Chelsea and whilst some may have perhaps feared he could be on his way this month, they will no doubt take encouragement from the fact that he is back and played a 7/10 according to WhoScored.com.
The 23-year-old took to social media after the game to express how pleased he was with the result after a “tough couple of weeks” and here’s how the some of the fans responded.
Chin up Ben, brilliant come back tonight. Out whatever it was to bed, learn from it. Go again. #OneOfOurOwn ??

What do we think?
Despite whatever has gone on in the past couple of weeks, one thing that remains abundantly clear is that the England defender retains the full support of the club’s faithful supporters.
Given his incredible talent, it’s unlikely speculation regarding his future is ever going to go away for good. However, judging by his performance versus West Ham. he remains fully committed to the cause and will no doubt play a huge part in the remainder of the campaign as the Foxes continue their charge for a Champions League spot.
