Fulham boss Scott Parker was left rueing missed chances as his side were forced to settle for a point at The Valley on Wednesday night. Lee Bowyer’s Charlton Athletic proved stubborn opponents and as a result, the Cottagers were unable to close the gap on Leeds United in second place.
Charlton goalkeeper Dillon Phillips was the man of the match according to WhoScored.com which backs up Parker’s comments that it was indeed his team’s inability to convert the opportunities they fashioned that prevented them leaving South-East London with the maximum points.
Did Fulham match Charlton Athletic for passion?
Yes
No
Despite having 11 attempts on goal in comparison to the Addicks’ four, these supporters appear to disagree with the manager’s assessment.
Passion ? you have to be kidding me right? What passion did we show?

We didn’t have any chances, because we tip tap around at a snails pace.

Think he was watching a different game. Would definitely explain the tactics

Chances? You mean chance surely?

Sorry Scott just sometimes you need to take your head out of that black hole and admit we simply were not good enough.

What missed chances did we create?

What do we think?
Given the supporters’ likely ambitions to finish in the automatic promotion places and the run of form the Cottagers have been on, you can understand the frustration after such a lacklustre display. Although Scott Parker may believe his team created enough to win the game, the fans seem to vehemently disagree.
Both Leeds United and West Bromwich Albion now have games in hand and with that comes the opportunity to increase their lead over Fulham making this an extremely disappointing result.
