Supporters of Everton have shown their love for a Twitter post from Andre Gomes with a photo of the midfielder doing work in the gym.
On Thursday afternoon, the Portuguese middleman posted to Twitter stating: ‘Mentally, I’m already there’ (as per Andre Gomes), which supporters loved.

Is Andre Gomes the best midfielder that the club have contracted?Yes, he's a cut aboveNo, not quite the best |
Prior to picking up a fractured and dislocated ankle in the 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur, the 26-year-old featured in nine games in all competitions with zero goals and zero assists (as per Transfermarkt).
Over those games for the Toffees, Gomes picked up a 6.4/10 average rating (per WhoScored), however, fans were still delighted to see the former Barcelona man edging back to full fitness.
Quick Andre, come back, don’t know how much longer I can hold my breath! (midfield so scary without you) ?

What do we think?
Having been predicted to be on the sidelines until next season possibly (as per The Sun), it is fantastic to see Gomes edging ever closer to a return to the first team.
From the responses from supporters, it is clear to see that fans are itching for the Portuguese midfielder to be back on the Goodison Park turf as soon as possible.
