Supporters of Everton have aired that they do not want Djibril Sidibe‘s loan move from AS Monaco to be made permanent.

On Wednesday, Toffees fans had the question posed to them whether they would like to see the Frenchman’s move be made permanent (via Everton News Feed), which they did not.

Should Everton take up the option to buy in Djibril Sidibe's loan contract?

Yes, would be a good move

No, he's not worth the fee

The question was posed as a result of AC Milan’s supposed interest in signing the full-back and that they even held talks with the 27-year-old during the Christmas period (as per Le10 Sport).

However, after featuring in 17 games and picking up five assists for the Toffees (per Transfermarkt), supporters of Everton felt that there were better options for Carlo Ancelotti.

What do we think?

With a 7.14/10 average rating for the season so far, Sidibe is doing well for the Toffees (per WhoScored) and taking up the option to buy could be a shrewd move.

In recent weeks the full-back has also featured as a right midfielder (per Transfermarkt), which makes the Frenchman an even more useful asset to Ancelotti.
