Everton fans have reacted to the club’s reported transfer target, Merih Demiral, picking up a season-ending injury for Juventus.
The Turkish centre-back is set to miss the rest of the season after picking up a ruptured ACL in the Old Lady’s clash with Roma (as per Daily Mail), which had some fans blaming the Toffees.

So far this term, the 21-year-old defender had featured in seven games for the Serie A club, in which he scored one and assisted one (as per Transfermarkt).
According to the Telegraph, the Toffees had hoped on making the young centre-back an Everton player during this transfer window, however, the injury has poured definite cold water on that rumour.

What do we think?
This one seems quite an unfortunate one if Carlo Ancelotti really had planned on bringing Demiral to Goodison Park this January.
With a 7.28/10 average rating for the season so far, too (as per WhoScored), this may be a real disappointment to be one that has gotten away from the 60-year-old Italian in his efforts to shore up the Toffees’ backline.
