Fans of Everton were left delighted following Carlo Ancelotti’s discussion of a plan for the January transfer window in his latest press conference.
The 60-year-old Italian revealed that he will begin speaking to the board on the transfer front from 5th January (per Everton), which spread an air of calm to supporters.

How many players do you think will be signed by Carlo Ancelotti in the January transfer window?01-23-45+ |
However, other supporters read into his quotes a little more than what he really meant and speculated at the names that his cool words could mean would be arriving.
Interestingly, one fan even stated that it means the club are signing James Rodriguez, which is simply just a joke, even though the midfielder has been linked (as per Eldesmarque, via Daily Mail) with a move to Goodison Park.
So that basically means we’re signing James Rodriguez then yeah?

What do we think?
The transfer window has only just opened and a number of high-profile names have been linked with moves to Goodison Park meaning that it is likely that they will continue for the whole month.
It is always better to hold any move in disbelief until it has been announced officially by the club during this topsy-turvey time of year in the football season – that way, no one is disappointed.
