Supporters of Everton have slated Cenk Tosun following quotes made by the Turkish forward while on loan with Crystal Palace.
In a feature with the 28-year-old forward prior to the Eagles’ meeting with Southampton, Tosun stated that Palace is “more like a big family” than Everton was (as per Crystal Palace), which had fans furious.
“Like at Everton, it is extremely professional and well-organised. But Crystal Palace is more intimate, it is more like a big family where everyone knows everyone. I’m so happy that I have joined this family.” – Cenk Tosun on life at Crystal Palace pic.twitter.com/u4HsUh3hgX

Another example of how a football player will say anything to grab fan affection.

Good, hopefully he stays there. Then get rid of some other useless players this Summer. Free up some cash and then go after some real players that can actually make a difference and take Everton to that next level. A rebuild is needed

Fingers crossed ? they will sign him then, as he is so slow and not good enough for a team like Everton

Will Everton be able to sell Cenk Tosun for the desired £20-million fee in the summer?Yes, needs to impress on loan thoughNo, not a chance he's worth that |
During his time with the Toffees, Tosun had a weak goals return of ten goals and six assists in 51 games for the Merseyside club (as per Transfermarkt).
Since his loan move to Crystal Palace, however, the Turkish forward has scored one goal in his opening two games (as per Transfermarkt), which had Everton fans keen for him to stay in London.
Aren’t we still paying your wages? Poor, on your part.

Not the level we are after. Couldn’t pull the skin off a rice pudding.

You’re getting paid 100k a week to score goals pal not to get intimate with us

What do we think?
With the loan move away from Goodison Park, it feels quite clear to see that Tosun’s time with the Toffees is winding down (via Daily Mail), so of course, he is trying to get him new club’s supporters on board.
However, that can be done without taking mild shots at the club that you are still contracted to. he would be much better off just praising the club he is at and leaving the past in the past.
