Supporters of Everton have been discussing the injury to Jean-Philippe Gbamin that has kept him sidelined for a number of months.
The last update on the Ivorian was a positive one from Carlo Ancelotti, with the 60-year-old Italian confirming that he returned to full training in mid-January (as per Everton), however, having heard nothing since fans were confused.

Does Jean-Philippe Gbamin actually exist?Yes, I'm pretty sure he's realNo, he's just been made up |
Since signing from Bundesliga side Mainz over the summer for £25 million (as per BBC), the 24-year-old midfielder has featured on just two occasions for the Goodison Park club (per Transfermarkt).
After succumbing to injury in the early stages of the season, Gbamin underwent surgery on a tendon in his right quadriceps muscle in mid-October (per Everton), however, fans were baffled that he has not been seen since.

What do we think?
With Ancelotti having stated that the defensive-minded middleman was back in training in mid-January (per Everton), you would expect the midfielder to be back in contention for a starting place before long.
Sooner or later, though, you would hope that the Toffees get more than a value of £12.5 million per game played in for the 24-year-old Ivorian.
