The 26-year-old middleman has been missing from the Toffees’ lineup since suffering a horrific injury in the 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur in early November (as per BBC).
With speculation that the midfielder may not return until past the end of the season (via The Sun), fans were delighted to hear that he could be back sooner than expected.

What do we think?
Wow, what a quick turnaround that seems to have been from Gomes if he is to be back doing light training soon as Ancelotti suggested (per Everton).
Appearing to be months ahead of schedule, it is great news for all involved that the midfielder looks to be doing well.
