You’re going from strength to strength each week Dom. It’s great to see you in such fine form and banging the goals in living up to the number 9! Yesterday is gone, let’s look forward and not have that happen again???

Not your apology to make, Dom. You’ve been genuinely fantastic this season. Keep it up! ?

You’re a good lad Dom, you’ve been fit to wear that number 9 shirt this season, go and get yourself at least 5 more goals and continue to push on!

Was Dominic Calvert-Lewin blameless for the 2-2 draw with Newcastle United?Yes, he had already done his job wellNo, everyone has at least some blame |
During the outing against the Toon, the 22-year-old striker picked up a 7/10 performance rating after bagging his side’s second goal of the evening (as per Liverpool Echo).
The goal marked the Englishman’s 12th goal in 27 appearances in all competitions so far this term (per Transfermarkt), making it understandable for fans to be on the striker’s side.
No fault to lay at your door Dom. Just stupid unprofessional decisions from 1 or 2 so called experienced pro’s. Moise Duarte yourself and 4 or 5 others played very well. We learn work hard and go again against Watford. You have a world class man to work under. Well played. 10.

You don’t need to apologise You have been one of the shining lights this season. Keep it going. The Number 9 could be yours for years to come ??

Not your apology to make Dom but it’s appreciated by all us fans. You’ve been absolutely brilliant all season and it’s amazing to see so keep it up, it’s just a shame your hard work is being let down by your teammates inability to clear a ball or see out a comfortable 2-0 win.

No fault from yourself lad. As usual worked your socks off and put us in the winning position.
As much as it’s a team game. Win and lose together and all that jazz – Some of your team mates owe you, Kean and Bernard an apology.— Andreas Wätt (@Wattawildworld) January 22, 2020
What do we think?
As many supporters have suggested, Calvert-Lewin is one of the players that should be taking the least blame for the capitulation against Steve Bruce’s side in injury time, as proved by his sturdy rating for the tie.
With a 6.81/10 average rating for this term so far (as per WhoScored), fans will be hoping that the 22-year-old continues to kick on as he has been doing all season.
