Supporters of Everton were left gutted following Carlo Ancelotti’s injury update on Richarlison ahead of Newcastle United’s visit to Goodison Park.
During his pre-match press conference on Monday, the 60-year-old Italian gaffer stated that the attacker is “not available” for the clash with the Toon as the club “don’t want to take the risk” (as per Everton), which had fans gutted.
? | "Richarlison trained today but he still has pain so is not available for tomorrow. He's doing well but we don't want to take a risk."
Sigurdsson also ruled out. Late call to be made on Keane. #EVENEW

That’s really really sad. This is my first time here in the UK.I come here all the way from Taiwan to see my first Everton home game tomorrow and to see two of my favourite players in the team, and both of them eventually get injured and ruled out.

Is Richarlison the best player in Carlo Ancelotti's first-team squad?Yes, he's absolutely classNo, nearly but not quite |
During this season, Richarlison has been a key figure for the Toffees, having scored ten and assisted four in 27 games in all competitions for the Goodison Park club (per Transfermarkt).
The Brazilian had been thought to return to fitness after missing the game against West Ham (as per Everton), however, fans were disappointed to hear that he would be missing another.

What do we think?
With a 7.22/10 average rating for the season so far (as per WhoScored), it is clear to see why the Brazilian is so missed by the Goodison Park faithful.
As Ancelotti stated, hopefully, the injury only lasts for the game against Steve Bruce’s outfit and the 22-year-old is back to full fitness before too long.
